***RIP Jeremy Lusk***
It is with great sadness that we report Jeremy Lusk succumbed to his injures tonight at 11:03pm PST. He was surrounded by his loving Mother and father, Chuck & Gina Lusk, his wonderful wife Lauren, his mother and father in law Lyne & Larry along with his closest Mulisha friends Brian Deegan, Ryan Hagy, Cameron Steele & Erik Apple. He is now with our Heavenly Father and is at peace. We know he is performing sick tricks for all those in Heaven to crowds greater than we have ever seen. We will miss you Pitbull!
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
We will provide further updates on arrangements when we get them.

Prayers go out to jeremy and his family!
HE can help now, our love and prayers are with him and his family. May HE give strenght to him and his family and Divine Inspiration to the doctors. Costa Rica is with you.
Deuteronomy 32:39
“See now that I myself am He!
There is no God besides me.
I put to death and I bring to life,
I have wounded and I will heal,
and no one can deliver out of my hand.”
I saw the crash and I was mortified. I am an American living in CR, I have been here for 20 years and I just want to let those concerned know that the best hospital in San Jose CR is called Cima. I am not saying anything negative it’s just that the hospital he is in is a “state run” hospital wherein Cima is private. The paramedics that pulled him off the field in are also working for the “state” and if anyone saw how that was handled then you can figure out what I am trying to say. I wanted to get into my car and go to the stadium and tell them to take him to Cima but I would have never made it in time. Cima is a short 15 minute drive from where he is right now. I don’t know if he could be moved but if it were my brother or son I would do everything possible to get him to Cima.
My heart goes out to his family and friends and I hope he recovers.
‘Lauren and his dad will have a phone line to update people from the hospital.’
Does anyone have this phone number yet?
Do you have any news about his condition?
ok first to get in inglish call (506) 8833-3384
prayers are out to Jeremy and his family. does anyone know if there was damege to his spine?
ogm i hope he gets better i pray.
in answer to Kevin’s question, there was severe trauma to the cervical vertebrae as well as to the brain according to the doctors statement on the local newspaper today, however the extent of the damage, if any, can only be determined when he wakes up.
There has been a new blog to keep everyone updated on the condition of Jeremy Lusk. Please only leave positive and encouraging comments for Jeremy & His family.

As posted, the swelling is going down in his brain. His eyes are redialating (may be using the wrong term) which is also a good sign. He has the best doctor in Costa Rica which thankfully has advanced medicine.
watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhjxV34la88 Jeremy Lusk crash complete video
Please god send him an angel & keep him safe!
And to add to Rodolfo’s comment. He’s at the best hospital specialized in trauma.
This comment is for Mike McGinnis:
The fact that CIMA hospital is private, does not mean that it has the most prepared or professional doctors, on the contrary, they are at Calderón Guardia. The ones at CIMA are fine too, but you cannot be causing concerns to his family and friends by telling them that he is not in the best hospital. I am sure he is getting treated and operated by the most professional and well-prepared doctors in the country. What I am telling is true, and you can be confident that everything that is humanly possible is being done at this moment to save his life. I am also hoping he can recover from this awful accident. Keep up your fight Jeremy! All Costarricans are with you!
mike mcginnis, you may be misinformed about social security in Costa Rica, “state run” hospitals have the best requirements for his needs at this moments, I´m sure the doctors and health personnel in the Calderón Guardia Hospital are making great efforts and that is in the best hands. May God help him…
jeremy is a strong person …. he will pull through !!! SIKSPAK
Best of luck to Jeremy on this one. He’s got a lot to deal with here. Only best wishes and positive thoughts out to Jeremy and his family.

JEREMY LUSK FUND RAISING INFORMATION
An emergency fund to help defer the costs of Jeremy Lusk’s medical care has already been established and is set up to take donations immediately.
Through the quick-moving efforts of the Athlete Recovery Fund, those interested in making a donation may do so by visiting http://www.athleterecoveryfund.com and clicking on the “make a donation” button. All donations made through this website, starting TODAY, are earmarked directly for Jeremy Lusk’s care!
Financial arrangements are being put into place to pay for the Medi-Vac international air transportation that Jeremy will need once he is stable and can be transferred to a leading United States-based Head Trauma Center.
It is likely that these funds will be needed within the next 36 hours; therefore immediate donations are certainly appreciated.
The Athlete Recover Fund was established in 2007 and its function is to provide professional athletes in BMX, FMX and Skate Boarding with financial support after severe injury and granting funds for rehabilitation, equipment, long-term disability and educational scholarships.
I´m so sorry for what happened. For Jeremy´s family, don´t worry about the hospital he is in, we have great doctors here in Costa Rica.

R.I.P Jeremy you will be missed
Jeremy is with our Lord and Savior in heaven. Praise God for his faith. The bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (when you are a believer in Jesus Christ) My prayers go out for his family and loved ones. Reach out to God in this time of need. He is your comforter. Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Jeremy,I will see you in heaven brother.
RIP jeremy lusk.you will forever be remembered as one of the best,i will pray for your family tonight.rest in peace pitbull.
I’m so sorry.
i heard about the crash on the christian music station AIR1, and please know there are thousands of us praying for you, Lauren. Some people say God wont give you more than you can handle, but thats not true. But the good news is the bible says HE WILL GET you through. Lean on Him and cry to Him. We are so sorry for your family’s loss.
I just heard this news at work, on Yahoo of all places. I’m not family or even a friend. I’m just a fan, and it’s all I can do to keep from crying for Jeremy and his family. My thoughts and prayers will be with them.
Rest in peace my man.
Only the Good Die Young!

I just wanted to ad that jeremy was a hero. He had a talent that only you can be granted its not learned. Im a dad of a 8 yr old daughter and a 4 yr old son which we are all motox fans. My son has a small plastic guy which is jeremy. I hope his familyu and all of his close buds in the industry are making it threw this tough time losing one of our fellow soldiers. At 24 to be as good at what you do as jeremy was is a great gift. My family sends our deepiest sympathy. The shimeld family, Connecticut
Una perdida importante de un joven y sano deportista
Descanse en paz
I have grown up around motorcycle and bicycles. I ride free ride bikes not so much motorcycles now. Sometimes I wake up after a dream where I can do 360’s and ride logs 15 feet up and do things like that that I can’t do in real life. I never crash in my dreams unlike life. This is what I feel heaven can be like.
My dad died before his mother and she said the worst thing was having a child that died before her. For Jeremy’s parents and wife I give my condolences and believe me when I say you did a great job on your son.
He made everyone’s life a little brighter.
R.I.P m8. My prayers go out to the family
R.I.P. JEREMY, May the Lord give Lauren, the Lusk Family & the Mulisha Family all the strength they need to get through this difficult time. My family & I are just fans but feel extreme sadness. It is a terrible thing to lose a loved one but know that he is in heaven watching over his family now. GOD WILL GET ALL OF YOU THROUGH THIS. HAVE FAITH!!! OUR LOVE GOES OUT TO YOU ALL.
